Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics Betting Tips:
I went back and forth on this pick as I think the Celtics could still make a series out of this one, but with Marcus Smart listed as questionable I just don’t know. He’s a huge part of everything that they do and really runs the defense. I think he’ll play, but he looked banged up in the last game and won’t be near 100%.
Milwaukee’s defense was outstanding in game one and there is no reason to think they won’t bring that same energy tonight. Giannis is near unstoppable right now and I think that even if the Celtics are going to even the series that this one will be close.

Minnesota Twins at Baltimore Orioles Betting Tips:
MIN – Joe Ryan 1.17 ERA/2.95 FIP
BAL – Bruce Zimmermann 0.93 ERA/2.51 FIP
This is a case where I believe that one of these pitchers could be this good and I really don’t believe the other is.
Zimmermann had a big homerun rate last season and is projected to have one this year as well, but he’s yet to allow a homerun in his four starts. That won’t last and it could come today as the Twins offense has been especially hot of late.
Ryan has been very good thus far, but he’s kind of been himself as well. The BABIP is low and left on base percentage are way out of wack, but the strikeout and walk numbers are right where I expect them. He gets a good match-up here against a subpar offense.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Detroit Tigers Betting Tips:
PIT – Bryse Wilson 4.70 ERA/5.04 FIP
DET – Michael Pineda 3.60 ERA/6.18 FIP
Chicago White Sox at Chicago Cubs Betting Tips:
CHW – Michael Kopech 1.42 ERA/2.76 FIP
CHC – Drew Smyly 2.79 ERA/4.89 FIP
I really don’t get this line as Kopech is a much, much better pitcher than Smyly and the offensive match-up is much more favorable for him.
The White Sox have started slow on offense, but they look like they are going to hit lefties this season. Smyly has been hit hard early.
This game will be cold with winds blowing in so that favors that team with the better starter. That’s the White Sox.
