A 2-1 record last night.
We took two wins in the Rockets 104-102 game seven win over the Thunder. We took the under because of the game seven and this really showed up in the second half. Both teams scoring was way down and the last six minutes of the game featured basically no scoring. Things get tight in these game sevens towards the end.
The Thunder had many opportunities to win or tie late in this one, but just could not convert. We had them with +5.5 so the two-point loss was all good for us. The Rockets defense really showed up well here and I am halfway convincing myself that they can beat the Lakers. They are +435 for the series while the Lakers are -570.
Milwaukee ended up losing on a really lame call late in the game. This was one of those games where you have to remember that the NBA is all about the refs because the refs say so. Miami had a hot 38-29 first quarter and that was enough. The Bucks won every quarter of the game after that, but were never able to overcome that lead. Jimmy Butler had a bad game and Giannis upped his points and rebounds (and made his free throws), but the Heat outshot the Bucks from three and the Bucks just aren’t going to win when they make 10 less threes than their opponent.

Toronto Raptors vs. Boston Celtics Betting Tips:

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers Betting Tips:
The Nuggets had a very impressive first round series and now face the Clippers in round two. The Clippers are -1350 to win this series with the Nuggets being +885. That is a crazy, huge number and the biggest of any second round series.
That said, I think the Nuggets are going to be able to play their game here. I don’t think they are going to win, but this isn’t going to be a destruction. The Nuggets aren’t the Mavericks, but the Clippers only beat the Mavericks by more than nine points in one game of the entire series and that was a blowout.
Jamal Murray can cause trouble for the Clippers and I like how Nikola Jokic matches up with this team. I am not sure I can see them getting the win here, but they are going to make it closer than the sportsbooks seem to think they will.
