Last night we saw the best Monday Night Football game of the season and the first loss of the season for the 49ers. The Seahawks defeated them on the road in a great, overtime game. The last undefeated team has now fallen and suddenly we have a real race in the NFC West.

Unfortunately, my tip on that one got the loss. The good news is that we scored a 2-0 night in NBA. We have been killing it in NBA of late with our tips from NBATips.net. Those tips will be moving exclusively here over the next month or so.

Tonight, we are focusing back on the NBA as well as college football. Let’s take a look at the games and keep our winning ways going.

College Football Betting Tips:

Western Michigan at Ohio: This game has some real bowl-related implications and is pretty much a must-win for both teams. It’s also a real interesting game from a season stats perspective. Western Michigan is 0-4 against the spread in road games on the season while Ohio is 0-5 against the spread as a home team. One of these teams is going to get a win while the other will continue to look hopeless in this category.

Western Michigan is my pick to break the streak. They lead the MAC in points per game and has scored 30 or more in all of their MAC wins this season. If they put up big points, they will win this one. WMU has a really nice balanced attack on offense which will carry them well here. The Ohio defense has its leaks and they will spring tonight.

NBA Betting Tips:

Detroit Pistons at Miami Heat: The Heat are returning home off a three-game road trip that saw two really bad losses to the the Nuggets and Lakers. They also had to suspend Dion Waiters for eating an edible. It was a weird road trip and thanks to that, the shine is off this team right now. While early they looked like a real contender in the East, that road trip took away some of the believers in them.

I am not one of them. Miami has the third best Defensive Rating in the league and tonight they face an offense that is still without Blake Griffin. I think that Miami is really succeeding off of their depth and their scoring power. Jimmy Butler is still the man, Goran Dragic is one of the most solid players in this league, and Tyler Herro has been a revelation. This is a good defensive team that can score. Also, they play in Miami. Throw in the fact that Detroit has had one of the more favorable schedules in the league and are still just 4-7. I’m all about the Heat today.

Bet Heat -7.5

Portland Trail Blazers at Sacramento Kings: This is a match-up of two teams that might be panicking a bit early. They had big expectations on the season, but both teams are under .500 right now and in the West – that matters.

That said, I believe far more in the Blazers to figure it out. Damian Lillard is not only an outstanding player, but he’s also a great leader who can will this team to success. While the Kings are going to be without De’Aaron Fox which is an enormous loss. The front court woes of the Blazers are hurting them right now, but tonight against this team – it’s all about the Blazers.
