Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, October 10th, 2016.

While I said last week all eyes were on the golfing world and the Ryder Cup, there was no doubt where the eyes of the sporting world were on Sunday – they were on Tom Brady and the Patriots, as he made his seasonal bow in Cleveland. He didn’t look bothered by his break at all as New England took care of the Browns easily enough and started to look like the force we all know they can be. However, while that was a good performance, there was even more fun in Detroit, as the Eagles lost by a point to the Lions. It was Wentz’s first real test, and you could tell he is a rookie as the pressure seemed to get to him. That’s no criticism of the youngster at all, and that will change with experience, but at least he finally got a taste of real disappointment in the NFL.

In World Cup 2018 qualification, the big headline was Wales drawing with Georgia. There were reports in the media last week of the Austria manager claiming Wales’ success at Euro 2016 was a fluke, and after two draws in their last two games, including one against a side they should really be beating, were Wales fortunate? Probably not, but then their bubble might have already burst and an average side with an above-average team spirit might be starting to play at their real level. Still, being Scottish, it’s not like I’m in any position to criticise after a woeful performance against Lithuania. Even the English don’t have much to gloat about, as only putting 2 past Malta at home isn’t exactly great. The knives are out for Wayne Rooney, and it’ll be interesting to see what Gareth Southgate does with him in his stint as interim England manager.

Now, tonight we have the usual Monday Night Football action as Tampa head to Carolina, and we also have a plethora of World Cup 2018 qualifiers to have a look at too. So, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for October 10th, 2016.

Bucs vs Panthers Betting Tip

Amazingly, both teams are 1-3 in their first four games of the season. While we might have expected that from the Bucs, surely everyone was looking at a 3-1 or 4-0 start for the Panthers? I know I was, at least. And with Cam Newton MIA tonight for the Panthers, are things going to be any better? Well, if it was against a better side, the answer would be a definite no, however they’re taking on Tampa at home, so it’s not a forgone conclusion.

However, the Panthers have a decent deputy in Derek Anderson, who deputised in 2014 twice against the Bucs, and won both times. He had good stats last week, too, so he shouldn’t have any ring rust to worry about tonight. Injuries are starting to mount for Tampa, too, which doesn’t make this task any easier, with real concerns over their running back options, as well as a WR problem, and a couple in their D, too. All of that, plus the fact they’re on the road means I like Carolina Panthers -5.5 tonight. A one touchdown game looks likely, if not more, as the bucs’ injuries just seem to be worse overall than the Panthers, purely because Derek Anderson isn’t the worst backup option in the world.

World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Betting Tips

Bosnia -2 to beat Cyprus looks like a piece of value tonight. Cyprus shipped two when they were away to Greece, and three at home to Belgium, while Bosnia put five past Estonia at home, but shipped four away to Belgium. Bosnia are going to shut Cyprus out as they did to Estonia, and with the Cypriot defence looking shaky at best, it should be a bountiful night for the Bosnian forwards, and prices between 8/5 and 2/1 scream value.

Belgium -5 to beat Gibraltar. See above, really. If Belgium can put four past a usually solid Bosnia defence, they should make mincemeat out of the Gibraltar defence, especially with a scarily good front line.

Netherlands vs France – both teams to score. We should see an open game here, and both sides are attack-minded. The dutch conceded to Belarus at home, so it’s not like they’re keeping a tight ship, but they already look a far better side than they did in Euro 20167 qualification, so I can see goals tonight.
