Premier League Dartsheads for the Midlands this week and it’s the turn of Birmingham’s darts fans to make the big guns of the PDC feel welcome. As always, a big night of darts is in store, with Phil Taylor taking on the current world champion, Adrian Lewis.

Last week’s results took us to 15-18 and -13.62 units.

888.com are turning their attention to darts and they’re now offering a free £20 bet to new accounts, which is one of the best offers out there. They’re new to sponsoring the PDC action and their sponsorship of the Premier League Darts is a great coup not just for them, but for the PDC. 888.com are a great bookie and I would urge you to head on over there and take advantage of their great promotions.

And if you’re wanting another free bet, head on over to Betfair, where you can get a free bet worth £25 if you sign up over there. Betfair are one of my favourite betting sites and with the ability to back and lay your selections, there’s a lot of ways you can win money at Betfair.

Let’s get right down to the action for Birmingham’s night of Premier League Darts action.

James Wade versus Mark Webster.

A huge win for James Wade last week over Simon Whitlock, while Mark Webster struggled yet again, this time thumped 8-1 by his former BDO-mate Gary Anderson. Wade’s average was 88.49, not the greatest, but he did enough and was reasonably solid. Webster averaged 83.61 and just hasn’t looked at the races recntly.

Wade will be looking to capitalise on last week’s win and also on the Welshman’s poor form and the price is very generous for The Machine. Let’s see if he can help reoup what we lost thanks to him last week.

Raymond van Barneveld versus Terry Jenkins.

Raymond van Barneveld back to somewhere near his best? Well, no, but he’s playing soldi darts, putting in some decent results and just grinding out wins. His 8-3 win over Adrian Lewis last week wasn’t too bad, but his average of 86.04 wasn’t too great. Terry Jenkins was smashed by Phil Taylor 8-2, but averaged 94.92.

These two put on one of the worst matches of the Premier League campaign at the start of the season and it might not be a classic tonight. However, Barney has had some decent showings recently, while Jenkins has just been plugging away, picking up the odd point here and there. Barney looks a good thing, especially at the prices on offer.

Gary Anderson versus Simon Whitlock.

A contrasting week last week for Gary Anderson and Simon Whitlock. Whitlock scored poorly, averaged 90.89, hit 20% of his doubles and lost 8-5 to James Wade. Anderson scoared reasonably well, doubled at around 36%, averaged 94.42 and beat Mark Webster 8-1.

I’ve no doubt that this match will be close, as both men have been far from convincing in recent weeks. However, I think the other guarantee is some high scoring and a lot of maximums. The line is 7.5 and I think it’s worth a nibble.

Phil Taylor versus Adrian Lewis.

Phil Taylor takes on his protege again, in a rematch of the week one fixture, in which Adrian Lewis dominated the out of sorts Taylor. Basically, this won’t happen again judging by their performances in recent weeks. Last week Taylor averaged 106.40, Lewis averaged 84.72.

Taylor is of little interest at 1/3 and the rest of the markets aren’t looking too great either. As with a lot of Taylor matches, just sit back and enjoy a master at work.

Recommend: No bet.

And tha’s all for Birmingham’s evening of Premier League Darts. Enjoy the darts and happy betting!
