The end of another PDC World Championship, and we’ve got a PDC first. Yes, we’ve got Phil Taylor, but he’ll be taking on Michael van Gerwen, who has made it through to his first World Championship Final.
Both men came through their semi-finals 6-4, and both matches will be remembered for different reasons. Of course, we’ll all remember Van Gerwen’s perfect 17 darts before missing double 12 for back-to-back 9-darters. And unfortunately we’ll remember Taylor’s win over Raymond van Barneveld for what happened after the match. Barney’s fightback would have been great, but it was overshadowed by the scenes afterwards.
