Well, a perfect night last night. We go to 12-7 for the tournament, with a profit of +18.42 units. So not a bad tournament so far!

A couple of “shocks” last night, but we were on the right side of them, which is the most important thing. Phil Taylor looked unstoppable, James Wade looked injured, Brendan Dolan looked well supported and Richie Burnett turned back the clock. So, shall we?

For some of our free tips for the PDC World Grand Prix, we’ll be turning to Betfair’s prices, as they tend to be the best out there for the World Grand Prix and with our free darts tips, we want to give the best prices possible. Add to that their free bet promotion and it’s one of the best combinations out there!

James Wade versus Brendan Dolan.

Perhaps the biggest shock of this year’s World Grand Prix, Brendan Dolan, has his chance to make his first televised final. James Wade, well, he’s been here and done it all before. Last year, actually, when he won the tournament.

Wade hasn’t been setting the darting world alight during the tournament, but he’s been doing enough to win. He was fortunate against Vincent van der Voort and had trouble dispatching Andy Smith, so Dolan isn’t going to be a push-over.

Wade’s average was a little lower than Dolan’s and the Northern Irishman’s doubling has been better, too. With the the crowd on his side, Dolan will be a hard man for Wade to beat. There’s a couple of lines for this match, with Dolan taking it being one.

Brendan Dolan to beat James Wade: 5/1 @ Betfair

Brendan Dolan to score more 180s than James Wade: 10/11 @ 888.com

Phil Taylor versus Richie Burnett.

So who had this Anderson versus Taylor? Did anyone apart from Mrs Burnett have the Welshman here? It’s a battle of the former world champions and this could be a classic, with Burnett playing some decent darts.

I can’t see Burnett getting anywhere near Taylor’s average, or even Taylor exceptional finishing, but he should be able to take a set or two. However, Taylor looked in magnificent form against Mark Webster, so Burnett has a mountain to climb if he’s to go one step further.

I don’t like most of the prices here, but Taylor’s finishing has been unbelievable, so the highest checkout seems like the market to play in.

Highest checkout in Taylor versus Burnett match over 130.5: 5/6 @ 888.com

Recommend: 1.5 units.

That’s all the tips for the World Grand Prix semi-finals. It should be a great night of darts, so enjoy it and happy betting!
