Hi everyone,

This week in golf, we have The Players Championship.

Last week in golf, it was a slightly profitable one with two cashes. Chad Ramey came tied for 5th to get us the E/W cash in the Puerto Rico Open at 40/1, and Matthew Fitzpatrick got the Top 10 finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational as he came tied for 9th which was nice.

Let’s get right into the Players Championship:

Players Championship 2022 Betting Tips

Weather wise you may almost wish to bet the first and second rounds as opposed to the entire tournament. It all looks like it is going to fall off a cliff on Saturday so just a note.

This is one of those tournaments where incoming form is always a big factor too it seems more than anything else.

Betting Note: Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My normal betting amounts for the PGA are $125, $250 & $500, although I will go as low as $62.50 and as high as $1,000 on occasion. My most common bet is $125 and if you classify that as 1 unit, then I have made a 667.93 unit profit from 2014-2020. (full stats)

E/W (Each-Way) bets mean you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5)

E/W for this tournament is Top 8.

$125 on Scott Scheffler E/W at 25/1

I mean how can you not? If you’re looking at hot golfers there is no-one hotter. He missed the cut here last year but I man so did Rory and he won the year prior. And he missed the cut the year before that!

He also stands out well for the metrics required for this course based on all the data. Happy to back him. Not sure if this will be too much for him – I have a feeling it may be – but I just feel I gotta get on here. This is one where I am going to do $75 on him E/W for the entire tournament, and $50 for him first round leader 40/1.

$125 on Brooks Koepka E/W at 40/1

He’s coming in with a bit of erratic form but I think as long as he makes the cut and is hanging about in the top half in those first two rounds, he can step up on the final two days with the weather.

$100 on Viktor Hovland Top 20 at 5/4, $50 on Hovland E/W 20/1

I flip flopped a lot on this one. I feel like he can be up there but don’t think he has what it takes to win. That 8 places is decent enough though and it does factor it in if he is able to win more than betting just a top 10 finish. It’s one where I wouldn’t be surprised if he won.

$62.50 on Daniel Berger 30/1 E/W

If there’s a perfect time for Berger to bounce back, it would be here. That Honda Classic performance was crushing but I think he could absolutely thrive here. I think there is a solid chance we see a bounce back from him.
