Portugal Masters Betting Tips

This week we’ve got the Portugal Masters on the DP World Tour, and the Bermuda Championship on the PGA Tour.

As I’ll continue to do – I’ll be doing a max of 4 bets, at a combined max of 1u while I tinker around a bit with the golf and start getting more of the results I am looking for.

We are at +3.72u profit for 2022 which is disappointing. It’s still a winning record but I aam not going to sugarcoat it – I am not happy with the picks lately. Nothing at the Shriners. We had Sungjay Im to win but his weak round 2 saw him in 7th. Tayler Montgomery for the E/W he came 15th and was a few strokes off the top 5 so that wasn’t bad. Pendrith made the cut but his poor 1st round he couldn’t overcome.

A few new Patreons since last time I posted golf so here is the general notes:

Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My most common bet is $125 and if you classify that as 1 unit, then I have made a 628.30 unit profit from 2014-2021. Betting size varies greatly based on confidence. (full stats)

E/W (Each-Way) bets mean you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5 unless specified otherwise. Bet365 have added an extre selection of E/W bets which is where I commonly bet so now you may see E/W 8 which means it is a Top 8 bet)

Portugal Masters:

1/4u / $31.50 on Marcel Schneider at 40/1

Marcel is treading water at the moment but his game should be suited for this course. He can get a decent distance off the tee which is required for this course. Good accuracy with those drives as well. He did play here a couple of years ago and came 44th but that was early on for him and I think he can perform better here.

1/4u / $31.50 on Marcus Kinuit at 80/1

A 4th place here quite a few years ago. Two missed cuts in recent year and his performances lately have been very sub-par. No pun intended. However my system thinks he is well suited for this course, and after a very poor start to the Valderrama he turned it around and you’ve got to hope that momentum carries over here.

1/4u / $31.50 on _____________________

Just the three bets for that tournament. Marcus Helligkilde was actually a contender in my initial run-through, but the more I factored in SG the more he dropped. And not that it means much, but while I might have sounded a bit down in the opening – I feel quite good about those picks.

I don’t have anything for the Bermuda Championship. Last year was a weird one where it was dominated by the big hitters, in contrast to previous years. Weather there can be rather iffy too.,
