What a week last week COULD have been.

We went into the third round of the BMW PGA Championship in prime position. We had 5 bets and all of them were floating near the top. Stenson was tied for 3rd, Horschel and Casey tied for 6th, Hovland 1 stroke behind them and Molinari 1 stroke behind him.

Looking damn good.

Alas – the only one that prevailed was Billy Horschel. But hey at least odds wise he was our biggest one at 55/1. That was a nice one too as he didn’t make the cut but I just had a vibe about him. So it felt good seeing him take it.

Frustrating to think about what could have been however.

Here’s the Horschel betting slip:

Let’s get on with this weeks action – no Links Championship bets. Just too tricky to call in my opinion.

Safeway Open 2019 Betting Tips:

Patrick Cantlay: 10/1. Small bet on Cantlay to win. He stands out in the metrics for this course. He’s never cracked a top 10 here in three attempts but when someone checks the boxes on the metrics like him I’ve just got to back them if the price is right. 1/8u to win. Would be more if not for course form.

Sungjae Im: 22/1 I said last week I really wanted to back him but the price just wasn’t enough for me. He ended up coming 2nd place. However I still do feel 14/1 wasn’t enough. This week he is 22/1 and I’m down with that. In just sensational form at the moment, suits this course well, and finished 4th last here. A rare1u to win & E/W. You may wish to bet smaller but for me he just checks all the boxes and the price is right. Backed him here last year for the cash actually:

Ryan Moore: 40/1. Course form is excellent and last time we have seen him he has been playing decent. Worth a 1/4u to win & E/W.

Harold Varner III: 66/1. One of those where I don’t personally love it, however I’m seeing a lot of others on Varner. Looking at it I don’t oppose it and think it’s worth a play. 1/4u to win & E/W.

Kevin Na: 40/1. Solid enough to bet in. Excellent form here over the years and looked good a couple weeks ago. 1/8u to win & E/W.
