It was one winning tournament and one losing tournament last weekend, for just less than a 1u loss.

We had absolutely nothing in the Scottish Open. I’ve said it before but even if I don’t win bets on golf, I’m happy as long as I have something going on Sunday and it runs close. Absolutely nothing here.

Scottie was terrible. Ryan Fox played better here than in previous years for the most part but still nada. Rai also terrible. Chris Kirk at least made the cut then it just all went to pot for him.

In the Barbasaol, better luck as the 70/1 E/W pick Hurly Long was able to get the E/W place which was nice.

This week we have the 150th Open Championship. E/W bets are 1/5 for Top 8 at Bet365 which is what I’m basing things on this week. Alas with all the new rules in Ontario, I am limited in regards to where I can gamble. Boyle Sports for example are doing 11 places.

The Open Championship Betting Tips:

Rory McIlroy is a HEAVY favourite for this one. If he wins then good for him. I won’t be backing him at 10/1, but I am digging it as it has made everyones odds that much longer.

Will be interesting though to see if the bookies have it right and Rory crushes.

Driving is a big factor on The Old Course. You want accuracy, you want some power behind it too.

I want to back Spieth. I really do. I love backing him. And he loves this type of course. But I just can’t do it at 18/1. I’m just not seeing it. All half unit bets this week as Rorys odds care me.

$62.50 on Justin Thomas E/W at 22/1

I’d love to bet bigger on him but a it concerned with his incoming form. His Open record is poor as well.

If he was anything below 20/1 I’d find it hard pressed to back him. Maybe he had a rough flight over to Scotland last week or something. The airports there are a mess after all! I think at that price you just gotta back JT here.

$62.50 on Shane Lowry E/W at 22/1

Very reliable player. Has a lot of experience here which is good. Coming in with some good form. Happy to back him here.
