Los Angeles Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals Betting Tips:
LAD – Tyler Anderson 3.15 ERA/3.36 FIP
STL – Dakota Hudson 4.00 ERA/4.37 FIP
Hudson is struggling right now. Low strikeouts, high walks, and a 5.92 ERA/4.88 FIP over his past starts. It’s not good to be in bad form when you are facing one of the very best offenses in all of baseball. Dodgers have a 119 wRC+ against righties this season.
The Cardinals hit lefties well, but Anderson is very solid and he keeps his walks and homeruns down. That should be enough for the first five.

Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins Betting Tips:
CHW – Johnny Cueto 2.91 ERA/4.11 FIP
MIN – Sonny Gray 3.03 ERA/3.29 FIP
The homerun has been a struggle for Cueto this season and the Twins can hit them in bunches. They have a 116 wRC+ against righties on the year. They are hot right now with a 122 wRC+ over the past two weeks.
Gray has been very solid this year and does a good job keeping walks and homeruns down. The White Sox offense is weak in both of those categories as it is and they have been below average against righties this year.

Probably should’ve just left yesterday’s game alone. Sometimes a pitcher is so hot that it really doesn’t matter what the numbers say.
The numbers do matter today though and here’s what they say: Detmers stinks and the Astros crush lefties for a 115 wRC+.
Valdez has been good all year and the Angels have just a 91 wRC+ against lefties and are one of the coldest offenses in baseball right now with a 59 wRC+ over the past two weeks.
Throw in the much, much better bullpen and this is an easy game to lay the runs.
