Apologies for no tips last week with the match play. Honestly it’s the type of thing I often sink my teeth into and have a lot of fun with. Along with a few tips on here I like doing a ton of bets.

My other work hast just been mental though and I just didn’t have the time. I tried to sit down here and devote the hours to it and then was like nah I just can’t.

We have a wee tournament coming up next week called The Masters. Prior to that we’ve got the Valero Texas Open.

Let’s get right into that. Masters co-incides with a change in my work schedule in April that should make life a lot easier.:

Valero Texas Open 2021 Betting Tips:

$250 on Scottie Scheffler To Win & E/W:

He’s about joint 2nd favourite behind Spieth depending on the book. He would probably be unbettable if it wasn’t for the form of Spieth lately to be honest boosting him up the sportsbooks.

Scottie stands out for me big time in the metrics here. Coming in on form after last weeks 2nd place. 20th here last year. Whether it comes in or not – I wish all bets were like this. Just one of the easiest bets to make.

USA: +1600 at GT Bets
Everywhere Else: 16/1 at Bet365

$125 on Jordan Spieth Top 10 Finish:

Man I will be rooting for Spieth so hard here. I just don’t think there is enough data or convincing factors to bet him to win. Based on his form though and ability I’ve got to think he will be in the mix again here at least. Strokes off the tee will be important here and he stands out in a lot of those metrics.

Everywhere Else: 33/20 at BetOnline

$125 on Charley Hoffman To Win & E/W:

Been in solid form since Phoenix and I believe he was carrying an injury there. I like him a lot here and of course excellent form at this course. Only 34th at Corales but I mean that was a disastrous final round.

USA: +2800 at Bovada
Everywhere Else: 30/1 at Bet365

$62.50 on Si Woo Kim To Win & E/W:

Not happy with his match play performance but prior to that looked good at the Players. Plays decently well on this course. Will be motivated to boost his OWGR. If he can bring the form he brought at the Players he should be up there.

USA: 40/1 at GT Bets
Everywhere Else: 35/1 at Bet365

$62.50 on Ryan Palmer Top 10 Finish:

Think its an okay pick. Two missed cuts in recent years. Thing is though going into those his form was very erratic or just plain poor. Not the case this time.

Everywhere Else: 5/2 at Bet365

Corey Conners is tempting but his matchplay performances put me off. Harry Higgs is someone I see mentioned a bunch this week. I think it’s marginal. If you’re looking for a long shot go for him. Finau is Finau.
