Women’s World Cup 2019 Tips: June 11th

We had a perfect 3-0 day with the Women’s World Cup Tips on Sunday!

That was needed after a bit of a rough start. Very unlucky with the Under 2.5 in that Spain game with the two penalties.

First we had Italy or Draw. Italy ended up winning and that was 2.40 odds so that was a nice little win. As I said I thought Italy might surprise and it was great to see them win.

I also had Brazil to win to nil. Nice and easy for Brazil as they thumped Jamaica.

Finally I had Both Teams to Score in England vs Scotland. That was an interesting game as it seemed the occasion really got to both teams. Luckily, both teams were able to get the goals needed for our winning bet!

For Tuesday, June 11th we have the last three games to open the groups. That will be nice as now I’ve watched all of the teams and I have a general idea of what to expect.

New Zealand vs Netherlands Betting Tips:

Netherlands are 1.28 favourites for this one.

They required playoffs to qualfiy after coming 2nd in their group. They lost the crucial final group game to Norway and ended up in 2nd place with a 6-1-1 record. They had to overcome Denmark and Switzerland to qualify but honestly did it with relative ease.

New Zealand qualified as OFC Women’s Nations Cup Champions. They won their opening group with 3 wins and 27 goals scored. Yes that’s not a mistake. Welcome to Women’s soccer. In the knockout stages they thumped New Caledonia 8-0 then Fiji 8-0. While the gulf in quality is huge, this is one bloodthirsty team!

Initially retired, Abby Erceg came out of retirement for this one. They’re yet to even win a group game in their World Cup history but they’ve got a solid manager in Tom Sermanni.

Netherlands have some quality players such as Like Martens, who was the FIFA women player of the year 2017.

Holland are lethal in attack but they have some defensive issues and I think New Zealand can score. BTTS is tempting at 2.20 but I’m going to go with what I feel is a safer play instead.

Chile vs Sweden Betting Tips:

Chile were the 2018 Copa America Femenina runners up but are massive underdogs here at 19.00 odds. They struggled in their group with 2 wins and 2 draws, and had a 1-1-1 record in the final stage.

Sweden won their group although not perfect – they lost a game against Ukraine. This is a crucial game for the Swedes as they know that USA are expected to top the group so can’t blow it here.

Sweden have been a disappointment on the big stage lately. The bookies don’t expect Sweden to score with Sweden winning to nil just 1.44 odds.

Personally I agree with them. I can see Sweden taking it early and then just controlling the game and locking it down. I’m tempted to do a speculative bet on BTTS at 3.50 odds but I think I’ll go for one that is more likely to come in.

USA vs Thailand Betting Tips:

USA are slight favourites at 1.025 odds ha. I believe that’s the heaviest favourite odds of the tournament thus far.

USA were the 2018 CONCACAF Champions. They’re the favourites to win the World Cup too. They dominated the opening group stages with 3 wins, 18 goals scored and none conceded. In the knockout stages they thrashed Jamaica 6-0 but had a rather tight one against Canada winning 2-0.

Thailand are through due to being 4th place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup. Boy how prestigious i sthat? They list to China in the group stage 4-0, then lost to Australia on penalties.

The bookies are expecting a huge drubbing – simple as that. Over/Under 2.5 goals is 1.09. Says it all ha.

I’m going with a bet that I fully expect to lose but at the price I think it’s worth it. Football is a long game and the USA MAY just be a tad over-confident and get complacent.
