It’s Wednesday and as always – that means more golf betting tips from yours truly.

We had the Players Championship last week and it was an okay tournament. We lost about half a unit on betting as we had two cashes to help us a little bit.

Pity one of those cashes wasn’t the 500/1 winner of the tournament, Si Woo Kim!

That was a crazy win for him.

Ours were Adam Scott at 40/1 and Francesco Molinari at 55/1.

While they were good prices, unfortunately for both the dead heat rules applied so we didn’t get back what we were hoping for.

Here’s the betting slips showing both of those:

We now move onto the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament.

For this tournament I’m going to be experimenting with something publicly which I’ve been doing privately – matchup betting.

It can be fairly tricky for this one. I’ve no idea how the matchups will work out so I’d advise just like half a unit of betting or something small for each one.

Let’s get to it:

Byron Nelson 2017 Bets:

I only have the two bets for this tournament – which is why I’m focused on the matchup betting.

My first one is Jonathan Randolph and my second one is Bud Cauley.

Both of these picks are to win and E/Q and for a quarter unit on each – just not feeling this tournament I guess.

For Randolph he performed well here the only time he’s actually played. He’s also had some very solid form over the last little while and I feel good betting him here. I think this particular course suits his skills and abilities well and we could see him near the top of the leaderboard.

I’m also taking Cauley who is coming in with some electric form.

I’m a bit worried that he hasn’t played in a few weeks so that momentum will be shot – but I’m still willing to back him and hope that it continues.

Now the matchup betting – check out:

For matchups. These are all from a few different sportsbooks so you may have to look around.

Hoffman vs Finau: I’m betting Charley Hoffman over Finau here. I think Finau is in poor form and I don’t believe this is the tournament that will crack him out of it. Hoffman should be good here.

Day vs Koepka: I love Jason Day but holy has he been bad lately. If he turns things around and has a solid performance then so be it but I think we’ve got to kick a dog when its down and bet against Day here.

Moore vs Kuchar: This is an interesting matchup. I was tempted to back Kuchar in the actual tips. I decided not to as I feel the price we were getting wasn’t worth it – but I do think he’ll be a contender and should be able to go over Moore here.

Palmer vs Leishman: This is a tricky one however I went with current form to back Palmer to win this matchup. Thing is they both do about the same on this course but Palmer is in the better form at the moment.
