Yesterday we saw some really exciting sports action with the NHL and NBA playoffs in full swing.

In the NHL, there was a great game between the Sharks and Avalanche. The Sharks had a 1-0 lead in this series and were playing at home again. The Sharks got an early 1-0 lead, but then the Avalanche started climbing back. Three straight goals were scored to give them a 3-1 lead. The Sharks made a comeback and made this one interesting, but the Avalanche were able to hold on for the win. The Avalanche have now stolen home ice advantage in this series and continue their amazing run. This was the bottom seed in the Western Conference heading into the playoffs.

In the NBA, we saw the Boston Celtics go into Milwaukee and put a beating on the Milwaukee Bucks. You have to shout out Al Horford here as his defensive on Giannis Antetokounmpo was absolutely game changing. The entire Bucks team felt off their game in this one with only Giannis, Nikola Mirotic, and Khris Middleton scoring in double figures.

We also saw the Warriors beat the Rockets in a tight, slower paced game one. All of the above series feel like they are going deep.

NBA Playoffs Betting Tips:

Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors: The Raptors absolutely dominated game one and a big, big part of that was the play of Kawhi Leonard. He has really turned into a dominant offensive player and the one-on-one defense that the Sixers played him with in game one is simply not going to work. The rest of the team outside of Pascal Siakam was far more human and I expect the Sixers to make him work harder in this one. The Sixers should make some adjustments here and I am expecting a much closer game here.

Bet Sixers +6.5

Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets: The Blazers are on fire right now and they just beat a very good Thunder team in just five games. While the Nuggets ended up going to seven with a flawed Spurs team. I am openly picking the Blazers to win the series and I think they get it started here today. The big thing in this series, in my mind, is the play of the guards. Jamal Murray and Gary Harris were very up and down in the last round while CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard are the picture of consistency. I see them continuing that here and taking advantage of their younger cohorts in this series. That starts tonight.

Bet Blazers +4

NHL Betting Tips:

St. Louis Blues at Dallas Stars: This series is tied at 1-1 and heads to Dallas for the third game. The first two games have seen 5 and 6 goals scored combined. I usually see game three as the time when the scoring really ramps up in a series and I am expecting that to happen here. I think this total is a good value for an over and I will be jumping on it.
