A 1-2 record on Christmas day for us.

Our lone loss was the first game of the day as the Knicks disappointed their home fans and lost to the 76ers at home outright. This one was never really in question as the Sixers took the lead in the second quarter and led the rest of the way.

We tipped the Rockets -2.5 at the Thunder and they also ended up losing the game outright. This one came down to the fourth quarter as things were tied heading into the frame and the Rockets just staggered. They only managed 19 points with James Harden only scoring four points while Russell Westbrook managed 11.

We finished our night strong with the Timberwolves running all over the Lakers. We tipped Minnesota -5.5 and they ended up winning by 17. The second half was all Minnesota as they outscored LA 121-104.

Toronto Raptors vs. Dallas Mavericks Betting Tips:

Our first tip today is our favorite as the Toronto Raptors have really been good to us of late. Toronto has been playing such great basketball of late that they surged past Golden State and Houston for the #1 spot in Net Rating in the NBA. I love the way this Raptors team has reinvented themselves this year and they are a bigger threat to make the Finals than any other year that we’ve seen them. This team is just different and they are buying into a new style of play in a major way.

The Mavericks are not that. They are 15th in Net Rating and while they play hard every night, they are no real match-up for the Raptors.

This is our favorite play of the day as the Raptors -5.5 should roll here.

Orlando Magic vs. Miami Heat Betting Tips:

Another team that has been good to us as of late for a completely different reason is the Orlando Magic. This team is just so injured and so shorthanded that they can’t compete. Tonight they should be without Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic.

Miami isn’t having the season that many people expected them to have this year, but they are a still a well-coached team that plays solid defense on a nightly basis. With a shorthanded squad on the other side, there is no reason to think that Miami -7 won’t cover this one.

Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets Betting Tips:

At Denver is always one of the toughest games to play on the schedule for any team. The elevation and the travel to the city are always tough on opposing teams. Things should be even tougher for the Jazz tongiht as they’ll be without Rudy Gobert. Another thing that sticks out about this one is the road record of the Jazz: it’s bad. They are 3-13 straight up and 6-10 against the spread playing on the road this year.

Meanwhile, Denver is an awesome 11-3 at home this year and that’s really amazing when you consider all the trouble with injuries they’ve had this year. Nikola Jokic is back though and it’s hard to find a reason not to like Denver tonight.

The Nuggets -6 are a great play here tonight.
