We had the over on the Rockies and Cardinals and I had my doubts because it was 11.5 when I posted it instead of 11. That was plain silly as these teams combined for 12 runs in the first three innings. Wow.
Framber Valdez put on a solid performance and the Astros beat the Angels 3-1. It was a nice day overall. Let’s keep it rolling.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles Betting Tips:
I don’t get this line at all. I realize that Sam Gaviglio isn’t the best pitcher around, but he’s having a pretty decent season and is facing an offense that is hitting for just a 67 wRC+ over their last 14 days. They have really weakened this team through trades and are just playing out the string. Gaviglio isn’t the greatest, but I think he’ll do enough.
The Orioles send David Hess and he has not been decent with a 5.50 ERA/6.11 FIP. The Jays are an above average offense agaisnt righties and have been on fire of late (especially Kendrys Morales) with a 115 wRC+ over the last 14 days. Let’s go Jays.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants Betting Tips:
This is an outstanding match-up for the Diamondbacks today. Patrick Corbin is on the mound and I am expecting big things from him today. He has a 3.17 ERA/2.37 FIP on the season with 11 K/9. He’s a strikeout machine and he’s pitching in a pitcher friendly ballpark against a team with an 87 wRC+ against lefties. The Giants are ice cold offensively of late with a 46 wRC+ over the past two weeks. Their time for contention is over.
Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks are killing it lately with a 114 wRC+ over the past two weeks. Chris Stratton is nothing special with a 5.37 ERA/4.50 FIP on the year. This should be a good day for Arizona and I have no issue laying the runs here.
