July 2020 will be one of the biggest months in the history of American sports as we will see the return of many sports that had to be postponed due to COVID-19.

There will also be ongoing sporting events around the world taking place as well. And of course wrestling and UFC will be taking place as they never take a break.

Let’s have a quick look at everything going on in July:

Baseball:

Baseball is back for a 60-game season. There are some of the match-ups we are looking forward to this month.

July 23-26: Washington Nationals vs. New York Yankees
July 24-26: Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs
July 28-29: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Houston Astros

Basketball:

The NBA is scheduled to return on July 30th. The entire season will proceed until October then there will be a brief break before the 2021-21 season begins on December 1st.

Golf:

July 2nd: PGA Rocket Mortgage Classic.
July 9th: Expected PGA tournament not announced yet.
July 16th: PGA Memorial Tournament.
July 22nd: British Masters (European Tour).
July 23rd: PGA 3M Open. Marathon Classic (LPGA)
July 30th: English Open (European Tour). PGA Barracuda Championship. WGC FedEx St Jude Invitational.

Hockey:

The NHL will hit “Phase 3” of their return to play plan on the 10th of July. That’s when teams will start training camps. No confirmation on date to actually return yet.

Mixed Martial Arts:

July 2nd: Invicta FC 40.
July 11th: UFC 251 featuring Usman vs Burns. KSW 53.
July 15th: UFC Fight Night: Fight Island 1.
July 18th: UFC Fight Night: Fight Island 2.
July 25th: UFC Fight Night: Fight island 3.

Motor Sports:

Nascar:
July 5th: Indianapolis Motor Speedway
July 12th: Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway
July 15th: NASCAR All-Star Race
July 19th: NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts 500
July 23rd: Kansas Speedway

Formula 1:
July 5th: Austria
July 12th: Austria
July 19th: Hungarian Grand Prix

Soccer:

MLS returns on July 8th with a fun World Cup style tournament.

Wrestling:

July 1st: AEW Fyter Fest
July 8th: AEW Fyter Fest
July 18th: TNA Slammiversary
July 19th: WWE Extreme Rules

The NJPW Cup will also be going on.
