October is one of the biggest sporting events of the year. The WNBA and MLB will see their champions crowned while the NBA and NHL both begin their seasons.

The Dodgers will look to repeat as champions, but they will have a rough road ahead of them. As of this writing, they are likely to be a Wild Card team despite having the best run differential in all of baseball and over 100 wins. As good as they are, anything can happen in the Wild Card.

The Rays should be the favorite coming out of the American League, but it is a deep field of teams with the Astros, White Sox, and Yankees/Red Sox all having similar records.

The NBA season will kick off with a big game between the defending champion Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets. While the NHL season will begin with the champion Tampa Bay Lightning in action.

Other big events this month include a great boxing match-up with Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder on October 9th, the World Grand Prix of darts, the NASCAR Playoff Round of 8, four Formula One races, the Rugby World Cup, UEFA Nations League, and much more.
