First a quick note – it’s my wedding anniversary on Saturday, and we’re going away for the weekend. This is a tad inconvenient with the ROH Death Before Dishonor show AND of course, F1.

It’s the Formula 1 from France this weekend. I’m not 100% sure I’ll find the time to do betting tips or anything. I think I’ll try to at least post a few thoughts on the Friday, then after qualifying if I have the time, update the post with some bets. We’ll see how it goes.

I wish it was as easy as just watching qualifying and then popping on my phone and saying “here’s who to bet” but there is actually a lot of work involved each week in it. So we will see how it goes. It’s the last race before the summer break so I’d like to get some betting tips going.

Alright, onto the golf.

Alas, nothing at the Open Championship. I’ll be honest – I was feeling pretty good going into Sunday. Felt Scottie boy would at least get us an E/W cash, with the strong possibility of a win. But he struggled hard on the final round, and couldn’t even get under par.

I did back Smith alas it was the wrong Smith! All 4 picks made the cut but could not bring out anything special to get going. Very disappointing.

Still up 10.9u for the year but could do with a little win.

Let’s see what we’ve got this week:

Betting Note: Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My most common bet is $125 and if you classify that as 1 unit, then I have made a 628.30 unit profit from 2014-2021. Betting size varies greatly based on confidence. (full stats)

E/W (Each-Way) bets mean you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5)

3M Open Betting Tips:

Ugh. My system picks Matsuyama as #1 this week. He’s also the favourite at 16/1. I’m just not loving his current form at the moment. If you want to bet him? Mathematically, it’s probably fine. I’ve never enjoyed backing him he has let me down a lot especially in spots like this. So I will stay away.

Also likes Sungjae but man he heels ice cold right now and at 18/1 I can’t do it.

$62.50 / 0.5u on Cameron Davis E/W at 25/1

He has performed okay at this course the last two years, making the cut and finishing 28th & 12th. He’s in excellent form. Metric wise for this course he isn’t on my radar to be honest ranks around 15th-17th – but I think the price is fine considering excellent current form, and decent enough course form.

$31.25 / 0.25u on Adam Svensson E/W at 33/1

Frustratingly, his odds have already dropped a fair bit. I had him penciled in as a sleeper pick this week when he was 45/1. I’m now seeing his odds have dropped to 33/1 ugh. Looks like you can thank Ben Coley at Sporting Life for that as he tipped him for 1.5pts.

He’s made the cut for the last 7 tournaments now and had that 6th place last time out and is playing solid. You can tell he has his confidence going.

So yeah I dunno. When he was 45/1 it was an easy 1/2u bet. Now he has dropped to 33/1 and I am not loving it. I’m going to begrudingly go with a 1/4u here. You may wish to wait it out and see if his odds jump up again. 40/1 and above I’d go 1/2u.

Cazoo Classic Betting Tips:

With only the 2019 British Open to really have to draw data from Hillside, I don’t feel insanely confident here about bets.

But hey we do have some data to work with. Let’s go with 1u sprinkled over the following 4. So that’s $31.25 on all 4, at E/W.

– Richie Ramsay 22/1
– JC Ritchie 50/1
– Romain Langasque 20/1
– Oliver Bekker 20/1

The Evian Championship

Still slowly easing my way back into LPGA. We got that win a few weeks ago with Brooke which helped my confidence but with it b eing a LET combo, let’s go with four bets Patreon only:
