3-0 last night. 19-5 in playoffs, that’s almost 80% winners.

While Made Miley looked outstanding and outdid what I thought he would do, the Brewers bullpen issues reared their ugly head and the Dodgers were able to come back and win this one. A Justin Turner homerun was the difference here and it definitely felt like a momentum shift as things head back to LA.

The Astros showed up big time… in the ninth inning. They had a 3-2 lead for much of this game, but I had my doubts that the over would hit. They then went crazy in the ninth to grab the 7-2 win. The Red Sox bullpen leaked big time and Chirs Sale only went four innings.

I don’t see things getting much better for them today. Let’s get right into the tips and find out why.

Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox Betting Tips:

I do not trust David Price in the playoffs. He has a career 5.28 ERA in the playoffs and did not look good in the last round against the Yankees. Throw in just how hard the Astros hit lefties (and this bullpen last night) and it’s easy to see why I am going with the Astros here. This thing could get out of hand and a result like last night is not out of the question.

Gerrit Cole had a great season with a 2.88 ERA/2.70 FIP and over 12 K/9. He’s a big time starting pitcher. The only thing is the Red Sox are really good against right handed pitchers. He made one start at Fenway this year, going six innings and allowing just two runs. The six innings is what we’re looking for again here as hopefully the Red Sox offense will awaken a bit more today.

This again feels like an easy over. I don’t love Price and think he plus the Red Sox bullpen could get them here themselves, just like yesterday. That said, I would expect a bit more out of the Red Sox offense today as well.
