Yesterday was a great sports moment as Tiger Woods won his first major in fourteen years. Forget about all his personal drama and all of that stuff, this guy had his body completely wrecked and it looked like he might never play golf again just a couple of years ago. For him to not only get back on the course, but to win one of golf’s greatest tournaments is definitely a huge moment. I had bets on Koepka, Finau AND Molinari, so I wasn’t exactly happy about this result, but it is still a really impressive return to form from arguably the greatest golfer of all-time.

All eight of the NBA game ones are in the book as well. The story of the first one was upsets. The Spurs, Magic, and Nets all upset higher seeds in their series while the Blazers managed to win in game one as well. (Portland is the higher seed, but they are a slight betting underdog.) The Raptors did that thing they always do and didn’t show up in game one while the Nets just punched the Sixers in the face. Joel Embiid played limited minutes and has been ruled out for game two. Yikes.

We also saw the NHL playoffs continue and the story to me is the Lightning now being down 3-0. They’ve just been dominated by the Blue Jackets and this historically great regular season team could be out in four games. Unbelievable. I am all for a good upset, but sometimes you just want to see the best team win and the seeming randomness of the NHL playoffs is just not having it here. Good on Columbus, but man, this is almost depressing.

NHL Betting Tips:

Boston Bruins at Toronto Maple Leafs: The Leafs did well to split the series with Boston and now heads home to what should be an absolutely insane crowd. These fans watched both their NBA and NHL team get rocked on the same day this weekend and this feels like a must-win for the city. I’m taking the Leafs here.

Bet Leafs -115

NBA Betting Tips:

Brooklyn Nets at Philadelphia 76ers: I just can’t imagine the 76ers having another shooting day like the 3-for-25 they put up in game one. They only lost by nine despite the Nets making eight more threes than them in game one. The Sixers didn’t see this coming and while I have worries about their long term future, I think they definitely are going to cover here. The lack of Embiid hurts, but it should allow them to play faster and smaller which matches up well with the Nets. I also see Butler having another huge game.

Bet Sixers -8

MLB Betting Tips:

Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers: The system I use at BetMLB.org has this as the most lopsided game of the day. The system really hates Shelby Miller and why wouldn’t it? He’s made two starts and hasn’t pitched six innings total. Trevor Cahill has had a solid season thus far and the Angels bullpen has been among the best and bullpen to start the season. This is just a great match-up for the Angels.

Bet Angels -125
