What a disappointment Monday was as Atalanta and Empoli both failed to hit the net.

We had both teams to score and it ended 0-0. For the record Atalanta had a whopping 47 shot attempts with 18 shots on net so hey – welcome to the wonderful world of variance.

Atalantas 5.86 xG in that game without getting a goal is the highest recorded in a dataset of over 80,000 games. Says it all.

I almost backed Arsenal vs Watford BTTS as well. As it is Arsenal got a clean sheet and that was only their third clean sheet away in 3 years. Think of that for a second. They had a clean sheet in 2017 against West Ham, 2018 against Huddersfield and then last night.

If you had bet BTTS there – man, you need a hug.

Arsenals victory means that no-one else can break into the top 6 in the EPL. There’s no serious relegation battle in the EPL but man the race at the top for the title and 3rd & 4th is absolutely immense.

Should be good fun going forward.

Let’s cover Wednesdays UEFA Champions League games now:

Porto vs Liverpool Betting Tips:

Liverpool put in an excellent and professional performance as they defeated Porto 2-0. They played with that kind of urgency where it looked like they had their hearts and mind set on a 2-0 win, and they were able to get it.

Hard to see anything other than them qualifying at this point.

Porto have Pepe and Herrera back and I’d think make a game of it. You can’t underrestimate them and their form this season domestically is tremendous. They’ve also won 6 of their last 7 games at home in the Championships league. That loss? To Liverpool.

There’s no value on a Liverpool win however at 2.10 odds. I’m going to go with what I feel is the safer bet.

1u on Porto or Draw at 1.75 odds. https://www.Bovada.lv

Man City vs Tottenham Betting Tips:

Tottenham defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the first leg.

Spurs know they can’t win the league this season so they’ll be more motivated than ever for this one.

The sportsbooks think City take this and by a large margin with the odds of Man City to win at 1.30. Yikes!

Thing is I do too although I’m not sure I’d rate them THAT highly.

There’s a part of me that thinks this one ends up going to extra time and possibily penalties. Just feels like that sort of game despite the electric offenses on display.

Very speculative bet here. I’m tempted by either Man City to win in 90 minutes or City to qualify. They are MUCH better bets than City to win overall.

0.5u on Man City to win 1-0 in 90 minutes. 7.50 odds, bet it at https://www.Bovada.lv. Also 1u for Man City to win in 90 minutes at 1.83 odds
