For Saturday, April 20th I’m going to pop into Serie A again to cover some betting tips there.
I’ve had a lot of fun backing Serie A recently and then watching the games. My interested in the league has really stepped up over the last couple of months.
I was very disappointed with Napoli in the Europa League. We went 1-3 for the Europa League tips although a multiple unit bet on Valencia sure helped. That was one of those bets though where after it won I was thinking ‘should have bet more’. I mean they’re just the much better team.
Oh well it is what it is. How about that Chelsea game? Crazy one that.
Let’s get to the Serie A betting Tips for April 20th, 2019:
Cagliari vs Frosinone Betting Tips:
Not much to play for in this one other than pride.
I mean I guess Frosinone could still escape relegation but they haven’t shown much. They pulled off victories against Fiorentina and Parma which was impressive but losses to SPAL and Empoli show that they just don’t belong in Serie A.
Cagliari know that bar a complete disaster, they’re finishing mid table. They’re a solid home team and have racked up 7 wins and 6 draws at home.
I like them to make it 8 wins. They’re beating the teams and fighting like SPAL, Fiorentina, and Inter Milan. Frosinone struggle away and while their performances on the road have been better lately, I don’t think they can do it.

Bologna vs Sampdoria Betting Tips:
An interesting battle here with both teams having something to play for.
Sampdoria are still chasing a European place. They have a very outside chance of getting into the Top 4 and a decent chance of a Europa League spot.
They got that key win over Genoa last week which I correctly predicted. Their defence was tight and they kept a clean sheet. I called Quagliarella scoring in that one as well.
Now they’re going against a Bologna team who are in a deep relegation battle. Bologna have clawed their way out with some impressive form and are playing some great football at the moment.
Sampdoria however are a great team away and actually score more away. Of course they concede more away too.
I think this is going to be a tight game, and I think it will end up as a draw. I’m not a fan of betting draws but I think despite the standings, both teams would be happy with a point here. A loss is critical for both teams so I think they’d take the draw. Bologna going against a much better team but at home, and Sampdoria happy with an away point.
