April 28th, 2019 Ligue 1 Betting Tips

While I was updating the stats over the past couple of months I noticed a bunch of tips I did for Ligue 1 in France.

I forgot how much fun I was having with that league. Been watching it quite a bit lately but just haven’t did any tips for it.

With a bunch of French Ligue 1 games taking place on Sunday, April 28th I thought I’d tackle that league again.

It’s nice as I don’t have any bias in that league so I can go solely by the numbers.

For the record, PSG have ran away with the league as per usual. Lille and Lyon are looking good for Champions League qualification while St Etienne are doing their best to at least keep that Europa League spot.

Down at the bottom it’s a bit of a fight with 5 games remaining and quite a few teams that aren’t safe. Guingamp are most likely down though.

So let’s get on with the French Ligue 1 Betting Predictions for Sunday, April 28th 2019:

Double of the Day:

Saint-Etienne to win: They’re clinging to that Europa League spot and have a possibility of Champions League football. They’re playing the type of football I like – solid football built on a strong defensive foundation. They’re coming in off theb ack of wins over Reims and Bordeaux. They look like they have chased away that little bad spell they were on. I think they know they aren’t Champions League material yet but think they can take this one.

Marseille to win: Another team who have rediscovered their form lately. They’re going against nantes who are coming on the back of three massive wins that boosted them up the table – over PSG and Lyon. Crazy. But the sportsbooks know the deal and Marseille are still a low price despite that. Nantes just can’t perform away and this game is crucial for Marseille. Marseille have been a hard team to count on this year but I like them to get the win here despite their inconsistencies.

Nice vs Guingamp Betting Tips:

An interesting tie this. Nice have been plagued by bad offense all season long and have the worst goalscoring record in the league. 23 goals in 33 games. Absolutely brutal. Only their defense have saved them and they have the third best defensive record next to PSG and Lille.

These two teams played in December and it was a 0-0 draw. However Guingamp have a brutal defensive record and it’s one of those where at home, I think Nice will be able to take it.

Betting something like correct score of 1-0 might be a smart move as that’s where 31% of Nice wins have went at home. However I’ll just go with a small bet on Nice to win. They really should.
