A perfect 3-0 night to start the week.

The Yankees continued their dominance over the Red Sox with a 6-3 win. The Yankees got to Martin Perez early and Jordan Montgomery looked the best he has this season. There was a rain delay in the middle here that made this one last forever, but the Yankees did it again. Luke Voit and Aaron Hicks provided the fireworks here.

We took the other New York team and they absolutely crushed the Marlins. This game was 5-1 after three innings and the Mets never looked back. They won 11-4 as Robinson Cano and Pete Alonso hit two homeruns each. It’s been great to see Cano get off to such a hot start after last year. He’s hitting .412 with four homeruns through 15 games.

Finally, we took the Padres over the Rangers and they also crushed their opponent, 14-4. Fernando Tatis Jr. homered twice including a late grand slam. The Rangers were very up in arms about this because “unwritten rules” or something. Maybe try pitching better? Considering the way that the Padres bullpen has been doing this season, a six-run lead is not safe. Just absolutely stupid baseball stuff and we should get rid of all these dorks who want to complain about things like this. Tatis Jr. is fun, stop trying to make him a heel.

Just one game with a tip today, let’s keep the strong run going.

Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees Betting Tips:

Rays: Blake Snell 4.29 ERA/3.32 FIP (2019)
Yankees: Masahiro Tanaka 4.45 ERA/4.27 FIP

This is a good pitching match-up that is likely to be washed away by 10 MPH winds blowing out to center. I like both of these pitchers, but I don’t see either of them going very deep into this one and this looks like a potentially high scoring game.

Blake Snell has not had the best times at Yankee Stadium with a career 5.82 ERA and nine homeruns allowed, the most of any park he’s visited. We know how devastating the Yankees offense can be and I am just not looking for a gem here. An early exit after a few runs allowed is the likely scenario here.

Tanaka has been good so far, but he’s also been lucky with an ERA lower than his FIP. That will come back around and what better time than when the wind is blowing out strong in Yankee Stadium? The Rays offense is very good with a 116 wRC+ on the season.

In an offense battle, you have to go with the Yankees. The bullpens are about even, but the Yankees just have so much more homerun ability. Their .224 isolated slugging percentage is tops in the league. The Yankees are just crushing right now and it’s hard to go against them.

Making this a double-tip game: Yankees and the over.
