Belgium vs Japan Betting Tips

Belgium and Japan go head to head on July 2nd in the knockout stages of the World Cup. The winner of that one will face off against Brazil or Mexico.

Belgium topped their group in perfect fashion with 3 big wins. They defeated Panama 3-0, thumped Tunisia 5-2 and then beat England 1-0.

Japan have been a fun team to watch in the World Cup. They beat 10 men Colombia 2-1 to open the group and then had an exciting 2-2 draw with Senegal. However it all came crashing down with a 1-0 loss to the weak Polish side which could have sent them crashing out of the World Cup and it was sad seeing that sort of result at this stage.

Belgium Analysis:

Belgium have looked excellent in the World Cup so far. They dominated both Panama and Tunisia and then got the win over England to retain a perfect record.

Belgium did some squad rotation for that game and seemed better from it. Lukaku will no doubt be fit for this game.

Belgium are that team that are always dangerous on paper that seem to be able to match that on the pitch.

Japan Analysis:

Japan can consider themselves lucky to be here. They were fortunate over Colombia and while they drew with Senegal Japan were probably the slightly inferior team. Not being able to beat Poland was disappointing.

If they pull off something here it would be one of the biggest shocks in the World Cup in my opinion.

Belgium vs Japan Betting Tips:

Obviously Belgium are heavily favoured and the betting odds go that way making it tough to find a bet. At this round you never know how a team will do and if they put up the goals or play very conservative. I’ll do a bet of 1u on Belgium -1.0, -1.5 on the Asian handicap. Bet that at
