Three NBA tips for December 22nd, 2021.
These three NBA tips were actually four until just before posting the Raptors/Bulls game was postponed. Guarantee that was a winner.
I ended up taking yesterday off to celebrate my birthday, but I’ll now cover all the NBA days until Christmas so be sure to come back over the next couple days for more tips. We currently have a 34-17 record on the season.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics Betting Tips:
The Cavaliers have outperformed all expectations and a big part of that has been their defense. They are third in the league in Defensive Rating. The combination of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley down low has been quite dangerous and really shut some teams down. Unfortunately, neither of them will be playing tonight and I am thinking their team is going to really leak the points. Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen aren’t exactly known for their stopping defense.
Boston is in a similar situation with the COVID protocols mostly hitting the front court players, leading to big minutes for Enes Freedom. The good news here is that Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Dennis Schroder should all take the court so they should be able to get plenty of offense going.
With smaller lineups for both teams, I’m looking for this game to be an easy over.

Houston Rockets at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Tips:
The Bucks are really struggling up front with Brook Lopez out and Giannis in the COVID protocols. They also just added Bobby Portis to that mix so that means a lot of minutes for Jordan Nwora and Boogie Cousins, not exactly striking fear. The Bucks are still dangerous as long as Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday take the court, but -10 seems like a lot of points. These teams played earlier this month with Giannis and Portis and only won by nine.
There is a chance that Giannis could come back, but with their next game being the Christmas day game on ABC – I doubt it. Not to be cynical, but they aren’t going to risk not having one of their biggest stars on TV for a game against the Rockets. Giannis is the boy in the bubble right now.
Houston isn’t a great team by any stretch, but there are a lot of positive signs here. Christian Wood is their best player and if he’s playing in this one, he should dominate with no one out there to stop him. I don’t feel great about the Rockets here, but +10 is a lot and this team is 16-14 against the spread on the season. They beat numbers like this.

Los Angeles Clippers at Sacramento Kings Betting Tips:
Paul George is finally back and the Clippers are playing one of the worst defenses in the entire league. LA has lost three straight and has to be licking their lips at this match to get back in the winning mood before Christmas.
The Kings actually have two wins this season over the Clippers which I think should add some motivation. Marvin Bagley III, De’Aaron Fox, and Richaun Holmes were all part of those wins and all three are unlikely to take the court here.
