The 76ers are starting to come out of the woods. They had a real rough run without Embiid and this team just doesn’t have the depth to handle that. Throw in the COVID issues and this favorite from the East is now 17-16. There is good times on the way though as the team has won two of their past three and have a relatively clean health sheet.
I can’t say the same for the Raptors right now. All of the usual starters are either questionable or out for this one with key back-ups like Dragic and Precious Achiuwa also likely to be out. This is likely to be a preseason level roster for the Raptors and the Sixers should take care of business.
Philly made the mistake of underestimating a depleted Hawks roster a couple of nights ago and they should’ve learned their lesson. Even with replacement level guys, you have to bring it in this league. I think they will tonight.

Washington Wizards at Miami Heat Betting Tips:
The Miami Heat made his return after eight games away and he makes a ton of difference for this team. It is a cliche, but he is just a general on the court and things just seem to go better for this team when he is around.
It will also help that Bradley Beal is likely out for this one for Washington. Throw in the fact that this game takes place in Miami and the Wizards may have been enjoying the Miami life last night, I feel pretty good about this.

This is an absolute must win game for the Lakers. They have dropped five straight games and desperately need to right the ship. Their schedule is pretty favorable in the first part of next month, but it will get rough. They need to bank some wins now if they want to have playoff opportunities later.
The good news is they are facing the Rockets who have last eight out of their past ten games. Houston is also on a back-to-back as they played in Charlotte last night. This team has been frisky at times, but are more likely to get blown out than not. The Lakers need to do that here.

Cleveland Cavaliers at New Orleans Pelicans Betting Tips:
New Orleans has had their struggles this season, but they have started to get things right of late. That all went out the window though when Brandon Ingram left the last game with an Achilles injury and is listed as doubtful for this one. Throw in a questionable Josh Hart and I’m not sure where the offense is going to come from here.
The Cavs have their own problems right now, but they have Darius Garland, Kevin Love, and Ricky Rubio. I know they can generate offense.
UPDATE: Darius Garland is now out for this game. I still like the Cavs here with the line moving from -5.5 to -3.
