Whew – what a busy week it has been with the NHL underway.

With no pre-season etc that has made it even more difficult. You can of course see my tips on a daily basis over at BetNHL.ca.

For now though I will turn my attention to this weekends EPL games.

Last time out, I went 1-1 in the EPL for a profit thanks to Everton doing the business in a tough game against Wolves. That was on Tuesday.

On Wednesday I tackled the Eredivise and unfortunately it was a 1-2 day there. Got Sparta to win alas PSV and Den Haag both dropped the ball.

We have 5 games in the EPL on Saturday let’s look at them all now.

EPL Bets for January 16, 2021

Wolves vs West Brom:

Both teams come into this one in miserable form. WBA in particular with just 3 goals in their last 6 games and blown out recently by Arsenal and Leeds.

On paper, Wolves are the better team and should take this one but the odds make it hard to bet them. The draw is slightly tempting but West Brom look to be in a really rough spot at the moment and I don’t know if they can muster up what they need.

No bet for this one.

Leeds vs Brighton:

Leeds are favourites here. They look to bounce back after that Spurs loss. Brighton haven’t won in awhile but I mean they are draw specialists it seems lately.

Brighton won’t be easy to beat and Leeds also had that Crawley thumping. Bielsa has to be absolutely raging at that. Leeds will be missing Phillips but they will surely be motivated here and have shown they are the better side between the two.

1u on Leeds at 2.15

West Ham vs Burnley:

Both teams in similar form at the moment. West Ham are just in the top half sitting on 10th and a couple of wins could springboard them into European spots. Burnley just had that tight loss to Man Utd. I am a bit concerned at the Hammers losing Haller. This could be a tight one I am going with 1u on Under 2.5 goals at 1.72 odds.

Fulham vs Chelsea:

I mean with 5 draws in a row, betting on Fulham to draw is tempting innit? However it feels like a bit of a quick turnaround when they had to play Spurs there. Not that teams can’t handle midweek football etc but I just think the way that one was ushered in and this game moved it might cause issues. I think Fulham start well and fizzle out but Chelsea get the win. Odds don’t kjustify the bet.

Leicester vs Southampton:

Both teams battling for a spot in the Top 4. Leicester took the FA Cup seriously last week which was refreshing to see. Southampton had the weekend off. I think Leicester will take this one and the game last week will be good for them. Southampton have a top 5 xGA. Leicester aren’t too bad against teams in that spot. I think Leicester squeak this one. 1u on Leicester at 1.85 odds.
