So first of all I hope you all have a good Christmas. I’m writing this on Christmas Eve and I’ll probably do more tips tomorrow although we’ll see how my time is. Have some Fireball related items to make for Christmas dinner at my sister in laws house. Giving Fireball Chicken Wings and Fireball Fudge a try this time around. Should be interesting.

Always a great time of year – a week long bender with lots of football on the cards. Can’t beat it.

We’ll look ahead to the English Premier League now. I wonder how the January transfer window will be. Tons of speculation but I find it is often a letdown. We’ll see though. I’m pumped for it.
Let’s get onto the EPL games taking place on Boxing Day:
Chelsea vs Southampton Betting Tips:
Chelsea come in off that big win over Tottenham Hotspur. That was a good win for Lampard and a solid bounce back victory after the losses to Bournemouth and Everton. They are now in 4th place with a 4 point gap over Sheff Utd and will be hoping to keep their Champions League bid going here.
Southampton come in having also erased a 2 game losing streak as they beat Aston Villa soundly 3-1 in an impresisve result. Southampton are in 17th place.
Chelsea have a weak defensive record however to their credit actually aren’t too shabby at home when it comes to conceding with less than a goal a game.
Hard not seeing Chelsea scoring here with the form of Tammy Abrahams very solid right now. Southampton I think will keep the bounce back going and make this a competitive fixture at the very least. I feel they are playing a bit better and the offense will be able to grab a goal here.

Everton vs Burnley Betting Tips:
Everton come into this game on the back of a three game unbeaten run thanks to Duncan Ferguson. Carlo Ancelotti will be in the dugout for this game as they look to beat Burnley.
Everton are currently 15th in the league while Burnley are 10th. A win for Burnley is necessary if they wish to keep the race for a spot in Europe going.
They come in on the back of two solid results. After losing big to Man City and Spurs they ground out two 1-0 victories over Newcastle and Bournemouth. Always a fan of those tight victories.
They’re not too great on the road though conceding 1.78 goals away and scoring just 1.11. Everton are 1.22 at home for both those stats.
While “new manager syndrome” is tempting I like the grinding from Burnley here and think they can earn a point.
