A 2-1 record last night.

Both of our schedule alert tips came in last night led by the Pacers -6 putting an absolutely beating on the Bulls. Chicago had one of the worst schedules coming into that game that we’ve seen all season and it really showed in their play. The Pacers rolled easily 125-86. Getting Victor Oladipo back in the lineup really helped and we think if he’s healthy this team is one to watch.

Our other big schedule win was the Kings +8.5 over the Nuggets. Denver had a rough three in four nights schedule heading into this one and the Kings took full advantage as they won this one outright. The final score was 106-98 and this was a true team effort by the Kings with seven players in double figures.

The loss of the night was the Rockets -5.5 lost outright to the Pistons. Detroit seems to be our kryptonite as whenever we think they are going to lose, they win and whenever we think they are going to win, they lose. This may just be a small sample size bias, but they have been really hard to put a finger on this season.

Utah Jazz vs. Miami Heat Betting Tips:

Miami came into the season with some serious high expectations after they finished last season 30-10. They’ve been bothered by the injury bug a bit this season as both Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic have missed time, but the team has still quietly gone 21-17 this season and is finally getting everyone healthy.

They play the Jazz tonight who are still without Rudy Gobert. They’ve managed to keep afloat in the Western Conference race while he’s been out, thanks to rookie Donovan Mitchell, but they are still on the outside looking in. They have a top nine Defensive Rating, but a bottom eleven Offensive Rating. They have really struggled of late with a -10.7 Net Rating over the past 30 days.

Our system loves the Heat -4 to cover tonight at home and it’s easy to see why. The Heat are heating up right now (sorry) and a healthy Whiteside could have a big night against the Gobert-less Jazz.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Tips:

A battle of two of the worst teams in the NBA goes down tonight with the Lakers as a 3.5 point favorite. That line is really making me question reality right now. Los Angeles has lost nine straight and 12 of their past 13. They have a -7.7 Net Rating over the past 30 days and it’s hard to find any bright spots for this team right now. They have some good young players, but they are struggling to fit right now.

The Hawks aren’t the greatest team (by far), but they are a bit more predictable and solid than the Lakers. They shoot a lot better than the Lakers and have the better offense despite the Lakers gaudy numbers. Atlanta should be able to continue the Lakers struggles here tonight.

They aren’t my favorite team, but the Lakers are absolutely terrible right now and the Hawks +3.5 should probably be favored in this one. Grab those points.
