England’s dream run has come to an end. I am kind of kicking myself a bit for not going with the Croatia because it seemed like every person on the internet picked England to win that game. They certainly had a ton of opportunities, but it was just not meant to be. The final should be a heck of a game between Croatia and France.

Today, we focus on baseball. Yesterday had some really crazy games. The Indians beat the Reds 19-4 and the Rockies beat the Diamondbacks 19-2. Those are some huge numbers and the summer means the bats are going to continue to be hot.

We are getting near the time of the trade deadline and the hottest guy on the market is Manny Machado. The Dodgers, Brewers, Red Sox and Yankees are all considered in hot pursuit of him. If the Yankees get him, that offense becomes even scarier which isn’t something that I thought was possible. It’d be fun to see him on the Brewers though as that team has never won a World Series (and only been to one) and this year is as good as any to change that.

Of course, there are a ton of moves that we aren’t even seeing right now. The trade rumors can only take you so far, there is always moves that nobody sees coming. It’ll be an exciting time to be sure and with the All-Star game right around the corner, the trades should be following close behind.

MLB Betting Tips:

The Brewers could probably use Manny Machado tonight against the Pirates. They are sending Wade Miley to the mound and I am expecting big things from the Pirates offense in this one. Miley has had an ERA over five in each of his past two seasons and is coming off a DL stint here. The Brewers played an extra inning game last night that saw them use nearly every reliever in the bullpen. I could see them leaving Miley out to burn innings here and that doesn’t bode well for their chances of winning. A nice value on the Pirates -132.

Blake Snell leads the American League in ERA, but didn’t make the All-Star game. He’ll probably end up there because that’s how it always seems to go, but it was a snub. He’s averaging over 10 strikeouts per nine and has really been dominant at times this year. He has a great match-up tonight against the Twins who have really struggled against lefties this season. I like the Rays to hit Kyle Gibson as well who has been playing over his head all season. The Rays -115 is my favorite baseball play of the day.

CFL Betting Tips:

The Stampeders and Redblacks played earlier this season with the Stampeders winning 24-14. This one is in Redblacks territory and the line is a bit more favorable towards them, but I think that is a mistake. The Stampeders are the class of this league right now with an amazing defense that gets turnovers and one of the best offenses in the league. Calgary is just a step above right now and I don’t think the Redblacks are prepared to be on their level. The Stampeders -3.5 is a nice play today.
