Tonight could be the last stand of the Las Vegas Golden Knights and tomorrow could be the last stand of the LeBron James Cleveland Cavaliers in more ways than one.

The Warriors won game three in big way last night behind a monster game from Kevin Durant. This was a close game up until the final couple of minutes when the Warriors just locked down on defense and Durant closed the door with a killer three-pointer. It’s gotten to the point where people are now wondering if maybe Durant should go somewhere else this offseason or next. It’s not meant to be this easy and it might be time for him to cement his legacy as the leader of his own team. Of course, it’s hard to give up that lifestyle and being apart of the greatest team ever has it’s advantages. Time will tell.

There’s a non-zero chance that this might have been one of Lebron’s last game as a Cavalier. He’ll decide this offseason where he wants to play next season and there is no guarantee that it is Cleveland. If he leaves this time, I can’t see the Cleveland fans reacting like they did last time as he truly left it all on the floor. Is it possible to give the MVP to someone in a sweep loss? If you could, he’d deserve it. Game five is Friday.

Today we are focusing on the Stanley Cup final. The series heads to Vegas with the Caps having a 3-1 lead.

Stanley Cup Finals Betting Tips:

The game four loss was just demoralizing for Las Vegas as there are certain statistics that show they were actually the better team in that game. They had more scoring chances overall (31-21) and from the high-danger areas (13-8), but were unable to convert as they managed just two goals in the game. The Capitals scored six. That hurts.

The Knights did a great job to get here with the roster they have, but at the same time they can’t match the Capitals for star power and it has been the stars who have been getting it done for Washington. Ovechkin, Kuznetsov, Carlson, Oshie and Backstrom combined for 12 points in game four while the top scores from the Knights have 11 in all four games combined. They’ve been lucky and good, a combination that is near impossible to overcome. The Caps +125 are a great play to close this out tonight.

MLB Betting Tips:

The Astros have been the best team in baseball since the start of last season and not much has changed. Something that has been true over that entire period has been beating up on the Rangers. The Astros rise has coincided with the Rangers fall and this game is a match-up of two teams on opposite tracks. Gerrit Cole is looking great while Cole Hamels is starting to show the scars of time. Youth always win. Give me the Astros -1.5 (-125).

Web.com Golf: The Rust-Oleum Championship Betting Tips:

There are a few golfers I’m looking at for tomorrow’s tournament that I wanted to share here. I’ll be doing small 1/4 unit bets on each of these.

Sebastian Munoz to win +2500 and E/W (top 5): Munoz comes into this one in fine form with five top-20 finishes in his last six starts. Last weekend he qualified for the US Open as he won the sectional qualifier in Rockville, Maryland with rounds of 67-69. I can see him being especially locked in as he prepares for his first trip to the US Open.

Scott Langley to win +220 and E/W (top 5): Langley went to school at the University of Illinois which should make him quite familiar with this course. He’s coming off a runner-up finish last time out and is playing some of his best golf of the year right now.

Nick Hardy to win +10000 and E/W (top 5): This is my longshot pick, but there is a good reason for it. Like Langley, Hardy is a former Illini as well and was raised in Illinois so he is quite familiar with this course. He was a PING First-Team All-American and Big Ten Player of the Year winner so he definitely has the pedigree of someone who can succeed on the tour.
