This is the second to last Thursday night game of the season. The 2017 NFL season is getting close to the end and this is actually a pretty big game. The Saints and Falcons are fighting for the playoffs and the NFC West title.

Better things were expected from the Falcons this year, but they are just 3-3 at home on the year and tonight face a Saints team that excels on the turf. They are scoring big points per game while the Falcons offense has been a bit of a disappointment this season. This should be a very interesting game.

Atlanta has been heating up as of late, but the Saints have been even better. They’ve won seven of their past eight games and a win here could sew up the NFC West for them. A win for Atlanta puts them firmly in the playoff picture with an outside shot at the division. This is a big game for both teams.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints Betting Tips:

This is the first of two games these teams will play against each other over the last four weeks. The Falcons are favored here, but I am not quite sure why. They haven’t really beaten any great teams at home this year and the Saints have been great all season.

The Saints offense has been amazing this year, scoring 29 per game, and they always excel on the turf. This is a game where I really don’t mind the homefield advantage and am instead counting on the offenses. The turf is the turf no matter where you are and this year, the Saints are the turf’s best team.

New Orleans +2.5 is our play tonight as they should be motivated to try and lock up this division.

The over 51.5 points is also firmly in play here. We expect the Saints to come out strong in this one and the Falcons will be playing catch-up. The last two games these teams have played went over and this should be the third.

NBA Betting Tips:

The Wizards are still without John Wall, but tonight they draw a great match-up against the Phoenix Suns. Devin Booker, the source of most of Phoenix’s offense, is going to be out for 2-3 weeks and the Suns defense is just plain bad. This is a great position for the Wizards -7 to grab a win on this long road trip that they are currently on.

The Thunder and Nets will play tonight in the NBA’s Mexico games in Mexico City. This is an attempt by the NBA to grow the NBA’s international interest and it should be a packed house. The thing about Mexico City is that there is a far higher elevation than even Denver. We’ve seen how some teams play on the road at the Nuggets and we expect both teams to have that adjustment in this one.

The total is set high because of the way these two teams play the game, but I think the elevation could have adverse effects on the shooting of both teams. Under 215 is a great play here.
