The NFL Draft is upon us and this should be quite the event. The sports world is definitely starved right now and the NFL Draft is usually huge as it is, so this should be one of the biggest ever. I think it will be definitely interesting to see how it all shakes out as teams haven’t been able to spend as much time with their prospects and work them out in the same way that they have in the past. This will be a great draft for the teams that are good with game film and analytics.

There are some real studs in this draft led by Heisman winner Joe Burrow out of LSU. He is expected to be the first QB taken and has a strong chance of going number one overall to the Bengals. I think he’s probably the second best quarterback in this draft as Tua Tagovailoa is just incredibly accurate with the deep ball and played some huge games with Alabama. The big knock against him is that he had a ton of injuries in his last season and he’s not coming back 100% health. That got Burrow ahead of him and a lot of people are ranking Justin Herbert of Oregon ahead of him as well. I just don’t see him being near him in talent as ESPN has him ranked as the 38th best prospect in this draft, but there are a lot of mock drafts that see him going to the Dolphins.

This draft is also beloved for the three big wide receivers. Jerry Jeudy from Alabama seems to be the best, but CeeDee Lamb of Oklahoma and Henry Ruggs III of Alabama are right there with him. I wouldn’t sleep on Justin Jefferson of LSU either as he has some of the best hands on the board.

There are a ton of props on this event and I have a wide variety of bets for you to consider. Let’s get into them.

NFL Draft Betting Tips:

Joe Burrow is going to be the top pick. He currently has odds at -10000 to be the number one pick in the draft, so that’s happening. After that, it seems like Chase Young is the best defensive player in this draft and I can see him going second. The Redskins took a QB in Dwyane Haskins just last year in the draft so a QB seems out. Chase Young is all over the mock drafts and that 1-2 seems set in stone. The key here is, who is going to be third?

The Lions pick third, but it seems like a deal is likely. The next best prospect is probably Jeff Okudah out of Ohio State, but a cornerback at three feels unlikely. There are teams in this draft who need a QB and the Lions trading down as a team swoops in to grab Tua is what we are looking for here. Cooler heads are going to prevail here and a team is going to take the best talent in this draft in the top three. I really think he could be a game changing talent and I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.

Bet Burrow-Young-Tagovailoa exact order of top three picks +225

Lamb is one of my favorite receivers in this draft and I can’t imagine he slips past the Raiders.

CeeDee Lamb under 12.5 overall pick -130

Jalen Hurts is a real value at quarterback. He left Alabama to head to Oklahoma and absolutely exploded last season. He’s drawn comparisons to DeShaun Watson which should have him some team salivating. He’s been rumored to go in the second round and I can’t imagine him slipping any further than that.

Jalen Hurts draft position Under 57.5 pick

As far as locks go, I have to go with Jeff Okudah as the second defensive player taken. If the Lions hold on to their pick, he’s a great match. He’s probably the second best defensive talent in this draft and the odds show it. That said, they aren’t as bad as they really should be. I might go big on this one as I really see him being a top-5 pick and the second defensive player taken.

Bet Jeff Okudah as second defensive player taken -190

My one Hail Mary play is in the category of offensive lineman. Tristan Wirfs is probably the best of the bunch, but Mekhi Becton and Jedrick Wills Jr. are right there with him. I like Mekhi and I think he’s being really underrated here. He could be the first offensive lineman taken and at these odds, I have to place a small bet on this.

Bet Mekhi Becton as first offensive lineman taken +1500
