What a great night of baseball last night as the Royals and Blue Jays both managed to win Game 5 and set themselves up for a showdown in the ALCS. The Jays game had plenty of fingernail biting before Jose Bautista hit the 3-run homer to end all 3-run homers to give the Jays the lead that they would never relinquish. That highlight will be a defining one of the postseason no matter what happens to the Jays going forward. They are set for a huge match-up with the Kansas City Royals for the right to go to the World Series and it shouldn’t be any other way. These are the two best American League teams and you couldn’t ask for a better match-up. I can’t wait for that one.

Tonight we have the final baseball playoff game of the first round as the Dodgers and Mets do battle in Los Angeles. Zack Greinke and Jacob deGrom are on the mound for what could be a classic pitcher’s duel. We also have the start of the NFL week with the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints in an NFC West showdown. Thursday is always a great day for sports and we have plenty of tips to get to.

MLB Betting Tips:

Two of the best pitchers in all of baseball square off tonight in a winner take all match-up. Zack Greinke led all of baseball with his 1.66 ERA while deGrom posted a very good 2.54 ERA during the regular season. Both of these pitchers are 1-0 in the postseason and will look to carry their team to a victory. How do you even pick this one? These two pitchers are so evenly matched. Despite the ERA difference there is just a .06 difference between each pitcher’s FIP and they both looked excellent in their first start. I find it hard to pick a winner here, but Under 6 Runs seems like a lock. They both should make it into the seventh inning and they both should dominate. Sit back and enjoy this one.

College Football Betting Tips:

Auburn and Kentucky face off tonight in an SEC battle with the Tigers being a slight favorite on the road. Auburn has had a weird season thus far as they are 0-5 against the spread and 3-2 overall. They had serious problems with turnovers early which they seem to have corrected over their past two games. Meanwhile, Kentucky is a surprising 4-1 on the season and is looking to make a mark tonight against Auburn. They’ve done this against a pretty weak schedule though with their only upset win coming against South Carolina in week two, who have since proven themselves to be a not very good football team. This is their biggest test yet and, despite their record, Auburn is still Auburn. They are always one of the toughest beats in the SEC and I like Auburn -2 to win by a lot more than that.

NFL Betting Tips:

The Falcons have been great to start the season as they have simply scored at will. A big part of that has to be Julio Jones who is the best receiver in all of football right now. This game will be on turf which is what he’s used to so he could go off today. The Falcons are averaging an awesome 32 points per game and I see now reason they don’t hit that mark today. The Saints are desperately looking to breakthrough their slump and will be throwing the kitchen sink out there today. This is definitely going 51 points.
