Unfortunately we ended the month of September poorly losing the two tips postd that day. We had Sassuolo to at least draw against AC Milan and they got thumped 4-1 in a bit of a surprise, and we had the draw with BATE Borisov vs Dinamo Minsk.

That one was all tied at 1-1 then BATE scored in the 78th minute and took it 2-1 sadly. Sorry to end the month on a sour note! I’ll get all the stats updated later in the week.

I’m pretty swamped getting prepared for the NHL season and for doing tips on that. For all the BetNHL.ca followers – our first batch of tips will be up Tuesday afternoon Canadian time. Can’t wait!!! So excited for hockey to be back.

So no stats picks for the first few days in October – just going to look at the Champions League and go with betting tips for that.

Let’s get to it and get the month off to a winning start shall we?

Hoffenheim vs Manchester City Betting Tips:

Always nervy backing a team to win by multiple goals when away but that’s what I am going to do with Manchester City. They were able to do it last year with a 4-2 win at Napoli, and 4-0 wins at Basel and Feyenoord so they’re obviously capable of doing that.

They dropped the ball against Lyon in spectacular fashion and will be coming out serious and ready for this one. Their attack is just too strong for a Hoffenheim team who are going through some serious issues at the moment.

In their last 5 games in all competitions they only have one win and with Nagelsmann leaving at the end of the season you have to wonder if that will affect things. They’re just not looking too solid at the moment.

I always have qualms backing City in Europe but will do so here.

(Advertisement but we have tested it out and have been quite impressed with it)

Accumulator:

Lot of short odds ones here that I think we can group into a pretty decent paying accumulator.

I’m going with Man City who I mentioned above. I’m also taking Juventus to win and beat Young Boys. Fact is Juventus are just a ridiculously strong team and should really be dominating that fixture.

I’m also backing Bayern Munich to beat Ajax. The Germans are just too damn good at home and I can’t see Ajax causing them problems.

Finally I am backing Roma to beat Viktoria Plzen. Just another one where they seem too strong. Roma know they need to bounce back strong and should do so here especially after that great weekend performance.

Of course while all seem “good” and hell maybe even ‘sure things’ it takes just one crazy goal or one bad decision to mess it all up so even though it’s 2.59 odds w’ell just go with 0.5 on that one.

What are you guys backing? And now back to analyzing the hockey…
