Bah another late posting this week with the golf bets. My apologies.

Hopefully get in the swing of things soon. March is still extremely busy for me but I think April will be a better schedule.

Two big upsets last week at the PGA tours alas we weren’t on any of them! We had a frustrating one there as Scottie Scheffler, who I had backed to win, went into the final round looking good. But he struggled and couldn’t pull it off.

We did get a $117.82 return off our $32.50 bet on Akshay Bhatia. Almost won with the 25/1 pick so that was really nice to see, and made the Puerto Rico Open practically break even.

That makes for a win, and two E/W cashes over the last three tournaments. Nice to see.

This week is the Players Championship.

Let’s get right into it:

The Players Championship 2023 Betting Tips:

No surprise, my system thinks Rahm is going to win. His metrics are just mental. Although Rory is actually the favourite going into it this week. Makes things interesting.

Honestly when it comes to Rahm, Scottie and Rory you can bet either of them and be happy as they are the three contenders. In saying that, this is a really tough course and it’s not really one where you see a lot of consistent course form.

Reminder E/W bets are 1-8 for this.

1/4u ($31.50) on Tom Kim E/W @40/1

Very outside pick. Hasn’t played here but my system thinks he can crack the top 10. At 40/1 it’s well worth betting the E/W play on him. A solid player, and really good at bogey avoidance which is a factor here.

1/4u ($31.50) on Keegan Bradley E/W @ 40/1

Not really showing up on my metrics for this course, but he has had some good performances lately, and it’s been 7 years since he missed the cut here with two top 10 finishes.

1/4u ($31.50) on Tyrrell Hatton @ 33/1

One more. Bounces around in my data. He can be such a gamble, but it’s one I prefer to make as opposed to say a Cantlay. Looked good here last year, looked good last weekend.

Think that’s it for me. I’m tempted by Viktor Hovland whose game I feel is getting together, but 25/1 just isn’t enough for me.
