The first night of Premier League Darts after the split brought some fantastic action, and the toppling of Phil Taylor. Things started off with a flourish as Simon Whitlock put in one of his best performances of the year in his win over Robert Thornton. Michael van Gerwen got to big wins on the board, dispatching James Wade and Phil Taylor. Wade also got a win last week, triumphing over Adrian Lewis, further adding to Jackpot’s Premier League Darts woes. And there was a great match between Andy Hamilton and Raymond van Barneveld, with the Dutchman coming out on top.

Tonight the Premier League Darts action heads to the Emerald Isle; the crowds in Dublin always support the darts well, and tonight will be no exception. Double duty for Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld tonight, and the Dutchman has his hands full, as he takes on Michael van Gerwen, before taking on The Power in the night’s penultimate match. Taylor will also square off against Andy Hamilton in the first match of the evening. We get to see Robert Thornton trying to get back to winning ways against the in-form James Wade. Andy Hamilton then gets his second match of the night, facing Simon Whitlock, who returned to form last week. Finally, Michael van Gerwen gets his 4th Premier League Darts match in two weeks, stepping up to the oche against Adrian Lewis. So it’s a packed night of darts, and the final standings will start to take shape, with several men fighting it out for that top spot.
