September 21st, 2015 and we’ve almost completed two weeks of the NFL season, and Week Two was not a great week for QBs. We saw injuries to Tony Romo and Jay Cutler. Romo’s preliminary diagnosis of 8-10 weeks out is going to hurt Cowboys fans, while Cutler’s hamstring injury shouldn’t be as troublesome for the Bears. Drew Brees also had a bit of a scare, but he should be fine going forward. But in better QB news (depending on your team, of course), Johnny Manziel got the win he probably needed for the Browns, but there’s still a huge question mark hanging over him for Week 3. Big Ben and the Steelers looked pretty damn impressive over a poor 49’ers side, and it’s going to be interesting to watch Pittsburgh once they have a full compliment to pick from.

Elsewhere in sport, the Rugby World Cup is still reeling from Japan’s shock win over South Africa on Saturday, and East London has just about settled down after West Ham made fools of Manchester City in what was a bit of a weekend of upsets.

Now, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for September 21st, 2015.

Monday Night Football Betting Tip:

The Jets travel to Indianapolis after a Week One which saw both sides have results that made football fans sit up and take notice, albeit for completely different reasons. While the Jets, missing Geno Smith, looked like a force to be reckoned with, the Cols and Andrew Luck struggled against Buffalo, eventually losing by 13. Andre Johnson didn’t impress for the Colts, either, and it left everyone asking where the points were going to come from. It’s that very question that’s pushing us towards Jets +7 tonight. The Jets defense should keep a lacklustre Colts offense at bay for the most part, while Ryan Fitzpatrick, Chris Ivory and Brandon Fitzpatrick all gave an indication that the Jets won’t have trouble getting on the scoreboard this season. While it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Colts take this, there’s no evidence right now to suggest that they’re going to pull away by more than a TD against a side that might just surprise a few people this season.

Derby vs Burnley Betting Tip:

A big game already in the Championship, as both Derby and Burnley have something to prove, and both sides were expected to be challenging for promotion this season. Burnley have looked solid, while Derby have lacked something, especially at home, where they’ve failed to win this season. Burnley to win looks to be the stand-out value bet based on Derby’s home form, and the fact that Burnley have looked far more solid and consistent than the Rams so far this season. It might be tight, but we’ve got to take the value of the away side here.
