It’s time for the prestigious Tour Championship on the PGA Tour.

This is the final event of the current PGA season, and what an incredible season it has been. From the early domination of Jordan Spieth, to Rory McIlroy and his silly injury. And now the late resurgence of Jason Day. He had already won a tournament early on – but holy crap look at him now.

Day has taken down the PGA Championship, RBC Canadian Open, Barclays and BMW Championship – all within the last 2 months. Just absolutely spectacular form.

So it is no surprise that Day goes in as a heavy favourite for the Tour Championship, at 10/3 odds. Last years winner, Billy Horschel will not be participating.

The Tour Championship is held at the East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s been held here since 2004 which means course form is strongly relevant.

Of the participants, the previous winners are Henrik Stenson in 2013, Brandt Snedeker in 2012, and Bill Haas in 2011.

The Tour Championship rarely has repeat winners. Only two have won it twice which are Phil Mickelson and of course Tiger Woods.

Let’s check out the odds then see what we can rustle up for tips:

Tour Championship Betting Tip #1: Jordan Spieth

Imagine a few months ago being told we could get 8/1 odds on Jordan Spieth? Pfft at that time they probably would have had him at an odds on favourite!

We saw a solid performance from Speith last week at the BMW Championship. After two missed cuts he played really well and looked a lot more like his old self. If he wants to take down the player of the year trophy then now is the time to do it.

Spieth has shown over the last year that pressure is not something that bothers him. If anything it makes him play just that much better.

We’re going to bank on Spieth being the winner of the Tour Championship.

Bet: Jordan Spieth to win the Tour Championship. 8/1 odds at .

Tour Championship Betting Tip #2: Justin Rose

We’re going to take Rose for a Top 4 Finish at a course he is very comfortable on.

Rose has had a lot of solid results this season and in his last 6 tournaments has 3 Top 4 positions. He’s been solid on this course in the last 3 years with a 2nd, 6th and 4th place. It’s not going to be easy – but we can’t see all 3 of Day, Rory and Spieth sitting amongs the top 3. We like one of them to drop(hopefully Day or Rory) and for Rose to push in there and be amongst the top 4.

Bet: 9/4 odds at .

Tour Championship Betting Tip #3: Hole In One

We’re going to bet at 11/2 odds that there will be a hole in one at this tournament for half a unit.

Why the hell not, right? It’s been such a crazy season. What better way to end it on a hole in one? It’ll probably be on the 18th as well on round 4.

Bet: You can bet there will be a hole in one at .
