Well usually I cover the NHL action taking place on Mondays but it is a bloody light schedule so instead I’ll cover the football.

We’ve got Champions League action Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s the first leg in four games.

On Tuesday, we’ll see Chelsea host Bayern Munich and Napoli hosting Barcelona. Both games are on at the same time. That’s a right bastard that. Not sure why they can’t spread them out so we can watch all the games. I mean I can watch one on the TV and one on the tablet but it’s not the same is it?

Then the next day we’ve got Lyon vs Juventus and Real Madrid vs Man City.

Let’s get to it:

Chelsea vs Bayern Munich Betting Preview:

Massive game for Chelsea. They’ll be happy to come into this one off the win over Spurs.

Problem is their defense is utter pish and that’s going to be tough against this Bayern Munich team. I’ve got to think that with the way Bayern play a high line, Chelsea will attack the game and also focus on the counter attack. Only way to do it. And hope that the big man Lewandowski doesn’t manage to ge tthe goals.

I just can’t see Chelsea holding them off. So the question is if Chelsea can keep up with them or not. I think that they will. Just look at the way they came back against Ajax.

Napoli vs Barcelona Betting Preview:

Barcelona have been poor away this year. Lazio come in nice and strong. Messi has ended his drought and will be happy at that.

Barcelona struggle away. It’s a big one for Gattuso but he has his team ticking nice. They’ve also beaten Lazio and Juventus recently which is impressive. Napoli had a solid defensive deal going on in Europe. I like that to continue. I think this is a very tight game.

Lyon vs Juventus Betting Preview:

Lyon struggled in the Champions League and barely made it here to be honest. If it was a tougher group they wouldn’t have. Juventus dominated the Champions League.

Their away form has been great too.

In the league Lyon are struggling. Honestly I’ve got to think Juventus knock seven shades of shite out of Lyon here. It’s the only way. Lyon will of course be missing Depay. Will be interesting seeing if Cherki gets a game. Everything is working out well for Juventus right now and this is where Ronaldo gnerally shines. He’ll be itching to get at the French.

Real Madrid vs Man City Betting Preview:

Big game and the closest game odds wise with Real at +175, the draw at +275 and City to win at +140.

With everything going on in their European situation right now I think City will be fired up. They’ve got to be. Real Madrid have hit a bad run of form at the worst time losing to Levante and drawing with Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid have Bale and Hazard both questionable for this game. Actually I read Hazard fractured his ankle. Brutal.

This is a good time for City to face Madrid with them struggling. Plus with the UEFA ban City will be more motivated than ever. City have a nice and fit team and I like them to take this. Pep HAS to be able to beat the Spanish sides.

1u on Man City to win at +140 odds
