One more week until the Masters!

I can’t wait. Not from a betting perspective – the Majors are always that much more challenging – but just from a viewing perspective. It’s a very open tournament and there are a lot of possibilities.

Things will be tricky too because I’m away this weekend. Head off to the States tomorrow and don’t get back until late Tuesday.

So I’ll 100% be doing my Masters 2019 Betting Tips on the Wednesday. Don’t worry however I will prioritize it and it will be out Wednesday morning.

Last week we threw some wet paper towels at the wall and hoped one stuck – it didn’t. Joel Dahmen came close in the Corales but just couldn’t do it.

This week we’ve got the Valero Texas Open. Let’s get to it:

Valero Texas Open 2019 Betting Tips:

I’d love to back Finau here but man what a crappy price for him. Jason Kokrak is extremely tempting and I may regret not backing him – with the amount of top 10s he has been racking up lately you just feel a win is due. Just not great putting though.

Ryan Palmer: 55/1. Always a consistent performer here. Rarely breaks the Top 5 though which is disappointing. He did well at the Honda although isn’t very consistent at the moment. This is one where you might want to look at a Top 10 finish for him. Legitimately it’s probably a coin flip whether he makes the top 10 or not. 5/1 odds on that one. I’ll go with 1/8u to win & E/W and 1/8u on a Top 10 Finish.

Wyndham Clark: 110/1 Long shot bet. His driving distance is stellar and that can be a factor at this course. That’ll help him on the Par 5s where he ranks 10 this year and this course – Par 5s can be a factor. Never played here before but wouldn’t surprise me to see him battling assuming he can sign the scorecard correctly. 1/8u to win & E/W.

D.J. Trahan: 160/1. Another long shot bet. Just one of those where when I ran the numbers he kept popping up and at the price, I’ve got to take a bet on him. 1/8u to win & E/W.

Aaron Baddeley: 50/1 Solid price for Baddeley who has some solid performances here and also looks to be playing decent enough golf. 1/8u to win & E/W

See you all next week for the Masters and hopefully one of the above at least gets a Top 5 so we go in hot.
